Enid (Part 2) By Lucy Mitchell The customer from table no.8 and I were alone in the empty diner. Unlike Polly I found myself drawn to the dark haired stranger. He told me truckers talked. Everyone it seemed wanted to meet the waitress called Enid in the diner on the ‘highway of death’. I sat on his lap whilst he nuzzled my neck. His breath felt hot against my skin. Pressing his lips to my ear he whispered all the things that he wanted to do to me in the back of his truck. I didn’t even know his name. My back arched as he ran his warm hand over my bare thigh. Our lips met for the first time sending electrical waves through my body. In my head Polly spoke to me “Please stop this Enid” “No Polly I am enjoying myself” I said, gazing into his dark eyes as he nibbled on my bottom lip. “Stop Enid” she pleaded. “You told me to deal with him Polly” I said curtly. “Enid please not like this. We can’t go through this again”
