Author Interview with Candace Werts
1. Did you always know that you wanted to be an author or was that something you decided later
on? I have always loved reading and getting lost in a book, but I never thought about writing a
book until November of 2013.
2. What inspired you to write your first novel called, Made to Love? Any why? My first and
second novels came to me in a dream and I was introduced to Carmen Williams, Cooper
Jackson (Made to Love), Marcia Davis, and David Parker (Made for You). These stories also
known as The Made Series are written for people who enjoy reading Erotic Romance and who
believe love is color blind. It is very important to me that multicultural characters are featured
in a positive light. The world is full of all ethnicities, races and cultures and it is time for them
to shine in books.
3. Can you tell us readers briefly what Made to Love is about?
Made to Love is Carmen Williams and Cooper Jackson’s story. Carmen and Cooper want to love each
other but their past are keeping them apart. In Made for You, Marcia Davis and David Parker are our
featured characters and in their story Marcia’s past has finally caught up to her. Everything in her world
starts to fall apart and it doesn’t seem that David can or will stick around.
4. Having read both your first and second novels in your Made series, I found them exciting,
dramatic, and sizzling with romance. What is your advice to those wanting to write a romance
novel? Take the time and figure out what you want to write about and just do it.
5. In both of your novels so far, who would you say is your favorite character and why?
