“Very well. We will proceed with your plan then Videc,” Aga turned to Nona with a wicked smile. “And you my dear, learn Asora, become intimate with her and slowly turn her decisions to our will.”

“Yes my Puro. I will not fail you,” Nona bowed.

It was a relief to be out of that oppressive great hall but Asora needed one more person, General Hurak, a Dwarf with curly black hair and eyes, the head of the army to discuss the situation with Yane, Dominus and Frenzen. Before the door closed she called to Joes, the Centaur and captain of her personal guard, “Bring me Hurak.”

Joes bowed and closed the door. Sarea stood inside near the princess.

Asora turned to face the other two. “This will be a war. No surgical strike. Once Laxur sees Utopian soldiers, it is all over. She will retaliate. I have read the reports on the build up of the Darkcons. I mentioned only the guns but they have iron ships and we only have-”

“Wooden ships.” Admiral Yane sighed. “We will be decimated.”

“We need new ideas. I think we need to have a science fair and invite anyone with innovations and any good idea that can help. We need to bring this Kingdom into the future,” Asora declared.

The next day the discussion continued in the throne room between the court and Asora’s military commanders. The Dwarf general was there dressed in his formal uniform of a red jacket and braids with blue pants ending in shiny black shoes.

“General Hurak can review for us the current standings of ours and the Darkcons military strengths,” a female courtier, Lady Teralay, a Centaur, demanded of the general.

“It is hard to know for sure, but our estimates are as follows: the Darkcon army may have a standing force of eight hundred billion strong. Our estimates for their navy are twelve hundred mystical space ships. Two thousand aquatic ships with roughly three billion sailors. How long? Well, that would really depend,” Hurak stated.

“Depend on what general?” Lady Teralay asked again.

“The willingness of our people to fight an overwhelming foe. And we also need experienced and knowledgeable commanders,” Hurak mentioned.

“I see, well, we will rely on your abilities to rectify the situation,” the courtier said to the already angry general. The Dwarf was flabbergasted but he represses his rage and walked in front of Princess Asora to stand before the court.

“Queen Laxur is interested in something that was in Duke Jeia’s plant. It is a technological wonder I believe that is also why she took the planet.” Asora stated with trepidation.

“And what was this something?” Lord Turkin demanded.

“Jeia would you like to explain since it is your creation?” The princess smiled nervously at the duke.

“And what exactly is this worthless technological weapon system?” Lord Turkin sneered at Jeia.

The young lord pressed his lips together trying to repress his rage at the comment before he blew up.

“The technology is for a Laser cannon!” Jeia yelled.
