The verdict of Wood-Mizer on the Ligna
exhibition in Hannover reflects the
enthusiastic reports from the exhibition
organisers themselves. Robert Baginski,
Wood-Mizer's sales director comments:
"For us, this Ligna was much better
than in 2009, with almost a quarter
more international customers from
outside Europe, sales of machines from
the stand and numerous serious
enquiries.
"In 2009 few international visitors
from Africa and Asia came on our stand
and almost nobody from Russian
speaking countries.
"This time many Asians, Africans and
particularly South Americans conducted
thorough enquiries into our mills.
"All our 'green' (industrial scale)
sawmills including our new big WM1000
sawmill, which cuts 1.7m diameter logs
(a departure for Wood-Mizer), created
serious interest.
"It's too early to predict how many
more we'll sell, because the sales cause
and effect of Ligna on our industrial mills
involves a long time-line, but we are very
