ince 2007, Tom Glover and the team of computer technicians
at Cogentes have worked diligently to provide IT support and
technology solutions to business clients throughout the southeast
and abroad, managing more than 4,000 machines with employees
stationed throughout the state of Georgia.
The company recently merged with Pineland Computer Services,
significantly expanding the Pineland service territory.
In mid-year 2018, Cogentes began discussions with Pineland Tele-
phone Cooperative, Inc., and its subsidiary Pineland Cogentes Ser-
vices. Pineland purchased Cogentes in late 2018, forming Pineland
Cogentes.
With the merger, Pineland Cogentes serves the needs of business-
es across Georgia and the southeast United States offering managed
technology solutions, support, and maintenance; managed, cloud
and hybrid backup solutions, data recovery and transfer; cyber secu-
rity analysis and repair. As a premier Microsoft Office 365 partner,
the new team can perform installations and migration to all Micro-
soft Office 365 products.
The Pineland Cogentes family of companies includes Pineland
Telephone Corporative, Inc., Southeast Fire & Burglar Arm Compa-
ny, and the newly formed Pineland Cogentes.
Commercial offices are located in Metter, Swainsboro, and Milled-
geville, with an additional work center
in Vidalia.
Pineland Cogentes serves more than
1,300 square miles with its tradition-
al Phone and Internet services in all
or parts of nine-counties in South-
east Georgia. In its 67th year, 100% of
Pineland Cogentes’ Phone and Internet
customers receive their services via a
dedicated Fiber-to-the-Home network
offering Gigabit-enabled Broadband
connections. Southeast Fire & Burglar
Alarm Company and Pineland Cogen-
tes can provide technology and securi-
ty solutions across the entire southeast
United States.
Community involvement is a primary
focus for Pineland Cogentes. Employees
are encouraged to participate in various
leadership roles, ranging from serving
on boards for local organizations, to
supporting the improvement og area
schools, and volunteerism for charitable
functions.
Employees are involved with organi-
zations such as the Milledgeville-Bald-
win Chamber of Commerce, Bike Walk
Baldwin, Café Central Soup Kitchen, the
Oconee River Greenway Foundation,
Live Healthy Baldwin, Keep Milled-
geville-Baldwin Beautiful, Georgia Can-
cer Support, Partners in Education,
Georgia’s Old Capital Museum, and the
Milledgeville Film Festival.
