The Cansino Law Firm goes the distance for its clients T he Cansino Law Firm, LLC was founded in 2004 by attorney Carl S. Cansino. Since 2004, the firm has represented thou- sands of individuals in the area of DUI defense, violations of the drug laws, felonies and other complex criminal issues.  Located in historic downtown, Milledgeville, The Cansino Law Firm’s representation reaches Central Georgia and throughout the state. Through the years, the firm has grown steadily to include a full complement of highly skilled attorneys and support staff. With an extensive knowledge of the law, The Cansino Law Firm focuses on the areas of family law, criminal defense, and general and civil litigation. Cansino practices in the area of criminal defense in both state and federal courts and general and civil litigation. Before establishing The Cansino Law Firm in 2004 he was an assistant district attorney in the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit for seven years.  He also serves by appointment as the Municipal Court Prosecutor for the City of Milledgeville and is chairman to the Department of Law’s Advisory Committee on Consumer Protection. Cansino has been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as a Top 100 Trial Lawyers in the area of Criminal Defense. He also has been recognized as a Top 10 Lawyer in Georgia by the National Asso- ciation of Criminal Defense Attorneys.  Attorney Kaitlin P. Hinson’s practice focuses in the area of family law which includes divorce, child custody, child support, legitimation, juvenile law and adoptions.  Before joining The Cansino Law Firm, she served as an assistant district attor- ney in the Macon and Ocmulgee Judi- cial Circuits in the Juvenile Court Divi- sion. She serves as the president of the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit Bar Associa- tion, and a Representative of the Middle Georgia State University’s Alumni Asso- ciation. Kaitlin is admitted to practice before all the State and Appellate Courts in the State of Georgia.  The firm also includes two paralegals on staff, Jenny M. Jones and Kirsten A. Fountain.
