Understanding Friendships | Page 36

Wouldn’t it be great if we loved our friends and were loved in return the way God intended?

God also understands how friendships influence our lives and warns us to find good friends. “Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” (1 Corinthians 15:33 NIV) And, “Spend time with wise people, and you will grow wise. Spend time with foolish people, and you will suffer!” (Proverbs 13:20)

Most importantly Jesus, the son of God, wants to have a personal relationship with you and be your friend. He loves you so much. So if you are facing a season of loneliness turn to God who will never leave you. “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18 NIV)
