You can join all the clubs or teams in the world, but you’ll never make friends with anyone if you don’t have the courage to ask them to do something another time. Don’t always wait for someone to extend the invitation to you. Be the invitation extender. It’s easy enough to say, “We should do this again sometime.” But make sure to follow it up with an actual planned date and time. Invite them to a new movie or your favorite band that’s coming to town. Most people are followers and love to be invited out.
