Set some guidelines/standards for what you are looking for. Many people have never thought of setting any guidelines for the kind of person they will date. So if some guy comes along and he’s hot, or some girl shows a guy a little attention, that’s all they need. Often, they are clueless as to who this guy or girl really is. It’s like they’re rolling the dice, hoping they’ll come up lucky. Sadly, most of the time they do not. Everyone should have a list of qualities that is important for them to have in the person they date. It doesn’t hurt one bit to be picky when it comes to dating.
Be willing to wait for the right guy or girl. It’s okay to not date at all. You will not die without a boyfriend or girlfriend. However, if you date the wrong person you might die on the inside if you are hurt or treated badly.
