Monash University Malaysia also offers Monash English( ME) for students who do not meet the undergraduate or graduate English entry requirements. Upon successful completion of ME, you will gain the proficiency needed to succeed at Monash University. Some Monash University courses do not accept ME.

Monash University reserves the right to ask you to undertake an approved English proficiency test to meet the English course requirements.
The published scores are based on Monash University’ s English requirements and subject to change.
In addition to the University’ s English requirements, the Malaysian Government has set English requirements for each course. When you apply, you will be advised if you have met those requirements.
ME is not applicable for the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine. The 10-week ME is not applicable for a pathway to the Bachelor of Human Nutrition.
Monash English with a Bachelor of Human Nutrition as a destination degree has a higher passing score requirement.

• C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency: overall score of 162 with no score lower than 154; or
• IELTS( Academic)/ IELTS One Skill Retake( Academic)/ IELTS Online: overall score of 5.5 with no score lower than 5.0; or
• TOEFL iBT / TOEFL iBT Paper Edition: overall score of 46, with a minimum score of 14 in writing, score of 14 in speaking, score of 4 in reading and score of 4 in listening; or
• PTE Academic: overall score of 42, with no score lower than 36.
For Bachelor of Human Nutrition as destination degree:
• C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency: overall score of 169 with no score lower than 169; or
• IELTS( Academic)/ IELTS One Skill Retake( Academic)/ IELTS Online: overall score of 6.0 with no score lower than 6.0; or
• TOEFL iBT / TOEFL iBT Paper Edition: overall score of 60, with a minimum score of 21 in writing, score of 18 in speaking, score of 13 in reading and score of 12 in listening; or
• PTE Academic: overall score of 50, with no score lower than 50. Any other qualifications or requirements recognised by Monash University and the Malaysian government.

• TOEFL iBT / TOEFL iBT Paper Edition: overall score of 60, with a minimum score of 18 in writing, score of 16 in speaking, score of 8 in reading and score of 7 in listening; or
• PTE Academic: overall score of 50 with no score lower than 42. The 10-week program is not applicable as a pathway to the Bachelor of Human Nutrition. Any other qualifications or requirements recognised by Monash University and the Malaysian Government.
