Working environments such as our Dental Academy and industry-standard newsroom let students develop and practise skills for professional careers .
Many courses are accredited , approved or recognised by Professional Statutory Regulatory Bodies – this shows employers you ’ ve got the specialist knowledge and skills needed for those professions .

Each year , we advertise hundreds of part-time opportunities with a wide range of employers , including the University .
Getting you on the career ladder
The Careers and Employability Service can help you develop your abilities and find opportunities to achieve your ambitions . You can access the Service for free from day one of year one , to up to five years after you graduate .

Instead of working for an employer during your placement year , a self-employed placement can take your growing ideas and turn them into a business , all while studying for your degree .
