You ’ ll learn to apply scientific principles that help athletes perform at their best in all kinds of conditions . You ’ ll also uncover ways everyone can use physical activity and exercise to boost their health and wellbeing . Based in Portsmouth , with a year at Edith Cowan University in Perth , Western Australia , you ’ ll explore areas such as sports psychology , biomechanics and exercise physiology , and develop skills to help people get the most out of exercise . You ’ ll build practical experience in our labs , which feature an immersion pool , swimming flume , motion capture systems and climatic chambers . In Australia , you ’ ll explore clinical and rehabilitation techniques . You can also gain experience through placements , working in sports or healthcare settings . When you graduate , you ’ ll have two degrees , one from each university .

Our teaching in London is designed to be flexible , so you can fit studying into your life more easily . All face-to-face teaching is delivered in blocks , during the morning or afternoon . This might mean you are taught for two blocks of four hours and one block of two hours per week , each on different days . This leaves you free to organise the rest of your week to suit your lifestyle and other commitments .
Your course will be divided into a series of modules . Each module will be assessed before you move on to the next and assessment is embedded in our teaching , allowing you to focus your attention on mastering one topic at a time .
