Set yourself up for a career as a global media professional . On this unique dual degree , with the choice to specialise in media and journalism or screen media and cultural studies , you ’ ll study in Portsmouth and spend a year in Perth , Australia . You ’ ll explore the professional methods of journalists , film directors , broadcasters and media professionals , and use the latest digital technologies and facilities , such as a fully equipped newsroom and broadcasting studios .
You ’ ll graduate with two degrees : BA ( Hons ) Global Communication and Media from Portsmouth , plus Bachelor of Global Media and Communication from Edith Cowan University .

This course is taught by award-winning researchers and film producers , has strong industry links in TV , film and journalism , and offers chances to intern in fascinating areas of the media industries . You ’ ll learn to work with professional equipment and facilities including multi-camera television studios , film and cinematic cameras , and innovative hardware . Depending on your grades and any experience of studying media , you can either start at Foundation Year or Year 1 of the curriculum .
