' I was nervous but mainly about the social side of things . By going to the social activities they had for my course during induction week and putting myself out there , I was able to make a lot more friends than I thought I would . If you put yourself out there and remain open minded , you will find your people , and university can be a very enjoyable experience on all levels , not just academically . '

' I chose engineering because I like learning how things work together , but I went for mechanical over the other options because mechanical feeds into so many areas : automotive , aeronautical and nautical . '
