Requirements A level : BBB-BBC , to include an A level in a Modern Foreign Language ( French , German , Spanish , or English as a Foreign Language ), or equivalent . BTEC : Acceptable when combined with other qualifications . Must be with a Modern Foreign Language qualification . Tariff points : 112-120 points .
Optional pathways Initial Teacher Training with MFL pathway available . Also available Trinity Certificate in TESOL : There is a selection process for this qualification as there are limited places . This process normally includes a written test and an interview .
