International Year One
(Delivered by Study Group in partnership with Keele University)
Why study this course?
As an international student, if you do not meet the requirements for direct
entry to undergraduate study, you may join International Year One at the
Keele University International Study Centre, which provides a specialist,
supportive learning environment tailored to meet the needs of international
students.
The International Study Centre (ISC) introduces the style of teaching
that you will experience during your degree course including tutorials,
seminars, and more formal lectures. Assessments include exams,
coursework, presentations, essays and case studies. All International
Year One students are eligible to apply for campus accommodation
and have access to all University facilities throughout the year.
Programmes are offered across four pathways:
• Business and Management
• Computing
• International Relations and Politics
• Media
These pathways combine academic subjects, study and employability
skills and English language development to prepare you for entry to year
2 of an undergraduate degree at Keele.
What will this mean for my future?
You will receive a conditional offer of a degree course at Keele and
provided you meet the progression requirements, you will proceed
directly to your preferred degree programme.
