Aptitude Tests
All home applicants must take the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT)
(formerly UKCAT) in the year of application www.ukcat.ac.uk. You must
also complete the Roles and Responsibilities form as part of the process.
All overseas fee status applicants for 2020 will be required to take the
Biomedical Admissions Test (BMAT) www.admissionstestingservice.org/
for-test-takers/bmat They will not be required to take UCAT. BMAT
will be used instead of the Roles and Responsibilities form when ranking
for interview.

A Levels required
Grades of A*AA - aptitude tests (further details refer to website) are
required from three A Levels within a two year period, to include
chemistry or biology and a second science. Further details of academic

GCSEs required
English language, mathematics, and biology/chemistry/physics or
double/triple science are essential at grade B/6. A minimum of five
grade A/7 passes are required.
Achieved A-level grades
Students applying with achieved A-level grades A*AA will be considered
but must have mathematics, the sciences, and English language at GCSE
grade B/6.
