“I love the diversity of the students here.
The large number of international
students allows me to connect better
with people from different
backgrounds, and really helps in
building my network. There are also
many opportunities for us to prepare
for our future, as there are a lot of
workshops, talks and engagement
programs with employers (and even
English language classes!) offered.”

INDUSTRY EXPOSURE
We maintain strong industry connections all around the world, giving you a unique advantage when
seeking work exposure.
You will be able to gain real-world experience from a wide range of companies that have been brought
on board as partners and educators via the School’s internship and work placement programs, as well
as living case studies.
In the past, we have worked closely with organisations such as Unilever, Nestlé, L’Oréal, Citibank, the
Islamic Development Bank, and even the Dubai government. Our students have interned in countries
like Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, Mauritius, Thailand, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Internship and volunteerism
At Monash, we invest in instilling
attributes that matter.

The Internship and Volunteerism Program incorporates real world work experience and learning into
your academic experience while you seek to discover your personal calling. This experience is also an
opportunity for you to develop personal and professional maturity and ethics. Some of the companies
our students have interned with are Accenture, Bursa Malaysia, KPMG, and the Malaysian Global
Innovation & Creativity Centre.
Work placement
The Work Placement Program integrates employment with the application of academic theory as
requirements for completion of BEW3100. This program is an elective that is equivalent to two units
within the Bachelor of Business and Commerce degree.
Much like industry training, you will integrate theory and practice while undertaking real work in an
authentic environment for predetermined periods. This quality experiential learning program will
contribute to students’ learning and growth.
