INDUSTRY EXPOSURE
Classrooms provide the foundation for your engineering journey. But
working as an engineer in industry amplifies your learning and hones your
hands-on skills. As an engineering student, you must complete 12 weeks of
approved engineering work in an industry-based environment after your
third year of studies. This is a great opportunity for you to apply what you
have learned to real-life situations and to work closely with industry
professionals.

Leadership program
The Engineering and IT Leadership Program (EILP) is a one-year program
designed for high-performing students by the Schools of Engineering and IT
to ensure that you’re equipped with the critical leadership and employability
skills to supplement your academic achievement.
You’ll be groomed to be engineering leaders of the future in this engaging
and challenging program. Activities include a retreat, a series of expert-led
workshops, field trips to companies, industry leadership engagement
evenings, and finally culminating in a participant-organised leadership
summit.

DID YOU KNOW?
Engineers Without Borders is a non-profit organisation that aims
to harness the knowledge and skills of engineering students and
professionals to help underprivileged communities through
the development of simple, sustainable solutions. Our student
chapter has participated in projects including hosting a life skills
workshop for refugee students, installing a micro-hydrogenerator
for a school in Sarawak, and renovating refugee schools.
