This program allows Medical students and graduates to gain an appreciation of the way in which research informs the practice of medicine. It embeds you in a research setting with Malaysian and internationally recognised researchers, where you will learn skills relating to data analysis and the communication of scientific ideas in oral presentations and a written thesis. You will be able to choose from an array of research streams, and match your interest to the respective projects.
You will develop a number of important attributes including:
● Effective communication for research
● Capacity for enquiry and research
● Critical thinking, analysis and problem solving
● Ethical, social and international understanding
● Self-management and teamwork
● Capacity to conduct practitioner or higher degree research
● Eligibility for scholarship funding to support higher degree research( depends on academic grades)
