and nature . The connection between gendered oppression and environmental destruction has been demonstrated for decades . This course goes beyond ecofeminist theorizing to explore the current problems and practical applications related to universal equality and environmental justice . Students will be encouraged to explore ntersectional , decolonizing , and non-dualistic ways of thinking about environmental feminist concerns . Academic and creative writing skills will be utilized to express students ' ideas and hopes for a sustainable and socially just future . This course focuses on Women , which is one of the five critical concerns of the Sisters of Mercy : Earth , Nonviolence , Women , Racism , and Immigration . This course meets the University ' s definition of writing intensive . |

Technology for Good |
Technology for Good focuses on nonprofit use of digital media such as social media and websites that address issues the Sisters of Mercy Critical Concerns with a special focus women . Specifically we will review and critique nonprofit digital media for good that address women ' s issues , earth , and nonviolence . Some organizational social and digital media we will review include : Susan G Komen , Girls Who Code , and more . |
