Concepts of matter and energy interactions and radionuclide decay , principles of radiation protection and radiation oncology treatment modalities are discussed . |

Principles of Medical Dosimetry |
This course covers basic calculations in detail , methods of contouring , beam modifying devices and immobilization aids . The student is instructed in all aspects of treatment planning to include contouring , hand-drawn isodose summations and calculations of dose . This is augmented by computerized treatment planning in the clinical area . |
