Family , School & Community PsychologThis course introduces students to the diverse needs of the child within the context of family , school and community . The interplay of culture , race , language and socio-economics are examined along with current family life issues ( parent education and involvement , family and community lifestyles , child abuse and neglect ). Students will determine their professional role as advocate in supporting the child and family through the identification of evidence-based practices . A review of resources available to effectively implement multi-tiered family , school , and community partnering in supporting the success of all students will be explored . |
