A continuation of BIO 305 focusing solely upon eukaryotic microorganisms . The course will be divided into three sections focusing upon the morphology , metabolism , evolution , and ecology of the three categories of eukaryotic microorganisms : Protists , fungi , and helminthes . 3 lecture hours per week . A detailed study of important fungi with emphasis on their biology , physiology and significance . Current research on the control of fungi and treatment of fungal diseases is examined . 4 lecture / laboratory hours per week .
