Traditional BSN Track The Traditional Track offers the opportunity for students to earn a BSN in four years , completing core and nursing courses . Transfer students may earn a BSN degree in 3 years if they meet eligibility requirements and transfer 32- 45 transferable credits .
Accelerated BSN ( ABSN ) Track The Accelerated BSN ( ABSN ) Track is a full-time program option for students who hold a bachelor ’ s degree in another discipline and meet the prerequisite requirements . There are three opportunities during the year to begin this program : January , May , and August . The ABSN option is a year-round , full-time , 16-month program .
BSN Weekend Track
The BSN Weekend Track is a part-time option for students who hold a bachelor ’ s degree in a field other than nursing and meet the prerequisite requirements . Students in the BSN Weekend Track attend classes , labs , and clinicals every weekend year-round , starting in August . Attendance on some Fridays will be required . Students may complete the BSN Weekend Track in 3 years .
Preparation for a Professional License : Graduation from Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program meets the requirements for the student to apply to take the NCLEX-RN . Approval to test is not guaranteed . For a complete list of reasons why the Board may refuse a professional nursing license to an applicant , please see the Professional Nursing Law . NOTE : U . S . citizenship or permanent residency is a requirement for licensure within certain academic programs . Students who are under DACA status or are undocumented should carefully review the licensure requirements before enrolling in a degree program that leads to licensure .
