Counseling and Interpersonal Relations Minor

Students accepted into a baccalaureate program may earn a minor in Counseling and Interpersonal Relations with courses totaling 18 credits .
PSY100 General Psychology is a pre-requisite for the minor in Counseling and Interpersonal Relations .
Foundation courses ( required ) - 9 credits
PSY 200 , SWK 202 or PSY 202 ( Nursing only ) 3
A maximum of 6 credits may be transferred into the minor from another institution .
Transfer credits are not accepted for foundation courses : Counseling and Communication Skills ( 212 ) and Group Process ( 321 ). A minimum grade of C must be earned for each course . A C- is not acceptable .
Students must maintain a minimum cumulative gpa of 2.0 to successfully complete the minor .
