Women Writing Women |
This course examines the particular historical and social context of women at pivotal moments in history through published writings ( fiction and non-fiction ), performed speeches , and correspondence , all of which depict the positionality of women . In addition to developing their historical and social understanding of women , students will conduct research into a current issue or problem facing women , and propose real and practical solutions . Students complete the course by creating a document that advocates for specific solutions and that is intended for an audience who can act on those recommendations . This course meets the university ’ s definition of writing intensive . |
