Topics include : the post-war circumstances that gave rise to Nazism ; the nature of National Socialism as an ideology and political movement ; the personality and role of Adolf Hitler as leader of Nazism and Nazi Germany ; German society under Nazism ; the Second World War ; and the Holocaust .
