Web Design I
This class teaches students how to create a website from scratch using HTML and CSS . Topics include content planning and visual aesthetics including design and layout of images and text , the end-user experience ( UX ), and adaptive cross-device design . The basic elements of the latest versions of HTML and Cascading Style Sheets ( CSS ) will be covered including site design and page formatting , graphic manipulation for web content , Search Engine Optimization ( SEO ), as well as browser , mobile device , and server capabilities . Students will learn how the web works and what happens when a webpage is viewed in a web browser across multiple types of devices . By the end of the course students will be able to publish their own websites with code they have written themselves .

Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
This course introduces students to the field of artificial intelligence ( AI ) and data mining . By examining how datasets from mined information are harnessed for machine learning , students will gain a deeper understanding of how artificial intelligence can be utilized . AI is presently being used in everyday applications such as Gmail , Siri , and Netflix . From selfpowered automobiles and military drones , to marketing research and fraud monitoring , this course will examine the history , present day use , and future of artificial intelligence . Topics discussed include autonomous machines , privacy , ethics , data analytics , neural networks , singularity , and quantum computing . Open to all majors .
