Affiliate Program Clearances and Policies / Procedures : Students accepted to an affiliate Radiologic Technology program must follow all pre-admission clearance procedures as stated by that program . In addition , all policies , such as confidentiality , dress code , professional liability insurance and professional standards must be adhered to . Failure to comply may result in dismissal from the affiliate Radiologic Technology program and the University ’ s Radiologic Technology Program . Students must maintain health insurance coverage for the duration of the Radiologic Technology Program .

Program Modality : On-ground Program Director / Coordinator : Rose Troutman Description : As a radiation therapist , you will work directly with patients , radiation oncologists and radiation physicists using advanced equipment to administer high energy x-rays , radioactive materials , and other sources of ionizing radiation to treat cancer . Preparation for Professional Licensure Registry / Licensure : Upon successful completion of the Program , the graduate is eligible to apply to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ( ARRT ) examination in radiation therapy . Instructions to complete the online application will be provided by the Program Director at the appropriate time . Students are to return their completed Program Competency list to the Program Director for signature . All program competencies must be satisfactorily completed and verified by the Program Director . Students must complete all competencies in order to be eligible to submit their online application to the ARRT . The ARRT will review all applications and approve eligibility to take the examination . Applicants must be in good standing and in compliance with the ARRT Standard of Ethics and Rules and Regulations . Any applicant who has been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor , should contact the ARRT prior to application and have their case reviewed . The ARRT reserves the right to refuse eligibility to any applicant whom they find not in compliance with the Rules and Regulations and Standards of Ethics .
