Minor in Psychology : students meeting minor Psychology course and credit requirements may be eligible to earn a minor in Psychology .
Change of Major : GMercyU students need a minimum of a 3.1 cumulative university GPA by the end of the spring semester to be eligible to apply for an interview . Students must submit a Program application to the Program Director between April 1-May1 . Seat availability is
limited . Meeting GPA requirements alone does not guarantee acceptance of a change of major to the BHS in Occupational Science Program .
Open Elective - 3 Credits Open Elective 3
Grade Requirements : A 3.1 overall university GPA and a 3.1 combined GPA in select courses * must be attained prior to registration of OSC 400 level courses . A 3.0 GPA is required for each academic term while taking OSC 400 level courses . Failure to meet this standard will result in academic probation . Up to 2 non-OSC 400 level courses may be re-taken . A & P I & II courses must be completed within 5 years and 10 years for other courses prior to graduation . Technical Standards for OT Practice : All students must meet these standards with or without reasonable accommodation prior to taking any OSC 400 level courses . Health and Clearance Requirements : All students must be in timely compliance with all health and clearance requirements outlined in the undergraduate course catalog . Deceleration : a " C " or greater is required of all major courses above , earning less than a " C " will require the course to be retaken with a " B " or better earned on the retake . Dismissal : Earning two or more OSC 400 grades of less than a " C " or not earning a " B " or better on a major course retake will result in dismissal from the Program . Observation Hours Requirement : ≥50 verified hours of OT observation or completion of equivalent assignment is required prior to taking any 400 level OSC course . Credit / Graduation Requirements : 126 credits and a 3.0 GPA or greater is required to graduate with a BHS in Occupational Science . Submit all transcripts prior to enrollment for accurate transfer evaluation . Maximum of 35 credits can be transferred . Highest math completed with C or better . Exempt from math placement yes no ENG101 completed with C or better . Exempt from writing placement yes no
