The course will be group instruction in fundamental piano technique designed for the beginner and / or intermediate musician . Students learn to read music , improvise chordal accompaniments , and develop technical proficiency through performance of elementary piano music . This course offers students the opportunity to pursue study of musical topics , composers and forms chosen by the instructor . Course may be repeated if the topic changes .
