Emphasis will be place on effective oral and written communications . No prerequisite . Conversation and composition skills continue to be emphasized along with developing proficiency in understanding spoken French . Cultural enrichment will include such topics as current events , history and the arts . Intensive French conversation on topics relating to the French aspects of present-day society is supplemented by use of films and slides .
