Program Description : The marketing program educates students to become successful marketing professionals by focusing on traditional and digital marketing skills needed in various business settings and industries . The curriculum focuses on consumer behavior , advertising , social media marketing , and online marketing in conjunction with a business core curriculum that includes economics , management , accounting , finance , business law and business ethics . Students will be prepared to enter the profession with highly valued skills that include the certifications in areas such as Google Analytics and Google Ads . The program culminates with a course in which students gain experience running a business and developing marketing strategies utilizing a computer simulation . The marketing program offers an optional concentration in digital communication as well as the opportunity to complete the MBA 4 + 1 program . Students should meet with their advisor in their junior year to apply to the 4 + 1 program .

Experiential Learning : Students are required to engage in an internship , which allows students to put theory into practice , observe professionals engaging their field of study , practice their skills under the supervision of seasoned professionals , network within their chosen field and gain valuable experience . Students should consult with their academic advisor before they plan to register for the internship . Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from off campus experiential learning opportunities .
