Through its membership in other consortia , Keiss Library and Learning Commons can either borrow needed materials from another library or can give a student a letter of introduction that will allow direct borrowing from more than 40 other academic libraries in the Philadelphia area . Contact the library circulation desk at ext . 21474 for more information about these services . The library has a book scanner and photocopier available for student use . There is no charge for using the book scanner , but photocopies are 15 cents per page .

Student Success Center
The Student Success Center ( formerly the Academic Resource Center ), located in the Keiss Library , provides academic and professional support for Gwynedd Mercy University students . The Student Success Center houses the following departments : the Office Academic Advising and Academic Coaching , the Career Development Center , the Office of Tutoring Services and Placement Assessments , the Office of Accessibility Services , and the First-Year Experience program .
Professional academic advisors for term programs work with University Studies students , as well as those students considering a change of major . Students enrolled in non-term programs will have an assigned professional academic advisor determined by their program of study . The professional academic advisors guide students through selecting appropriate courses , creating individual academic plans , and exploring academic interests and programs . In addition , they introduce students to the many helpful campus resources designed to support their learning . The Office of Accessibility Services assists students with a qualified disability in meeting their academic and personal goals . The Office of Tutoring Services offers undergraduate peer tutorials for individuals and small groups , as well as academic workshops and mathematics modules . In-person and online tutoring are available through current peer and professional tutors , as well as through a third-party vendor . The online tutoring service provides tutoring in a variety of subjects , as well as a Writing Center . Tutoring is available in most academic subjects . Students can choose a live session or may choose to schedule an appointment with a tutor . Tutoring availability varies by subject , but all subjects have some evening and weekend availability .
