As part of the ACT 120 curriculum the course introduces the student to the tasks and duties that police officers must accomplish on a day-today basis . The emphasis of this course is on techniques and procedures of patrolling and policing in the community . This course also addresses terrorism and homeland security issues .
A criminal justice major may choose to prepare an honors thesis in criminal justice under the supervision of a criminal justice faculty member upon the approval of the program coordinator . The thesis may examine any theoretical , empirical or policy issue of the student ' s choice within criminal justice and would represent an integration and culmination of studies completed during the student ' s studies . May be repeated for additional credit up to a total of six semester hours .
This course assists the student is preparing to begin Doctoral study in nursing in the online environment . This course surveys four major topics : an introduction to economics ; the economics of the firm and resource allocation ; current microeconomic problems ; and international economics and the world economy . This course may not be used to fulfill a humanities economicselective . An examination of national income accounting , inflation , unemployment , and interest rates and the use of monetary and fiscal policy are studied . This course may not be used to fulfill a humanities economics elective . This course is a study of the fundamental principles of economics and how they affect the consumer , business and industry , the government and the entire economy . Domestic aswell as global issues are emphasized . Topics include supply and demand , monopoly , fiscal policy , unemployment and international trade .
