MINOR PROGRAM : MUSIC Program Degree Level : Minor Program Type : Term Program Modality : On-ground Program Description : Students accepted into any baccalaureate program may earn a minor in Music by completing 18 credits in Music : MUS 100 Glee Club ( 6 credits in applied music ), MUS 104 Music Appreciation ( 3 credits ), MUS 107 Music Therapy ( 3 credits ), MUS 203 Introduction to Broadway ( 3 credits ), and MUS 299 Piano Class ( 3 credits ). SEM 214 Divas of Music may be substituted for any of the above ( 3 credits ). Transfers : A maximum of 6 credits may be transferred from another University . Academic Standards / Grade Requirements : A minimum grade of " C " must be earned for each course . " C- " is not acceptable .

MINOR PROGRAM : PHILOSOPHY Program Degree Level : Minor Program Type : Term Program Modality : On-ground Program Description : The Philosophy Minor at Gwynedd Mercy University allows students of various majors to enjoy in part the same curriculum provided in the Philosophy Major ( 18-credits total ), allowing a profound humanities experience that focuses on the “ regina scientiarum omnium ( the queen of all the sciences ).” For a fuller description of the Program , see the description for the Philosophy Major . Messina , Program Director Academic Progress : Maintenance of 2.5 GPA ; probationary periods and program dismissals are determined by the Program Director in consultation with other philosophy faculty should a student fall below the 2.5 GPA minimum . MINOR PROGRAM : PSYCHOLOGY Degree Level : Minor Type : Term Modality : On-ground Program Description : Students with a university major other than psychology may earn a minor in psychology by completing six courses ( 18 credits ): PSY 100 , PSY 111 , and four PSY electives . Students must earn a “ C ” or better in all courses in the minor . Academic Standards / Grade Requirements : A grade of C or higher is required in each of the courses required for the minor .
