Liaison Andrew Stephan – and to thank the entire team for their continued efforts. A special thank you goes to my Communications Secretary Claire for her unwavering commitment and organisation, her initiative and her emails of calm in the chaos. A big thank you also to Glenn for his truly meticulous editing and to Zuzana for her patience with me in the design stages of the journal. I would also like to seize this opportunity to personally thank the peer reviewers, who must remain anonymous but whose incisive and productive comments were instrumental in shaping the papers in this issue, and to thank the authors who wrote and revised their papers with such commitment. It has been a great pleasure to see these works take shape from abstracts, via various drafts to the papers in this issue. And finally, also, thank you, thank you to all those former team members who continue to support the journal with their invaluable tips, wisdom and advice. Moving forward, we will be sad to see some of our committee members leave – an inevitable side product of having a postgraduate team – but we also already look forward to welcoming new members. You may have seen our email and social media calls. The deadline for applications is 30 th June 2017, so if you are interested, please do let us know. The journal is a continuing work in progress and we always appreciate fresh ideas and initiatives. One big project we are currently engaged in, innovated by Claire and aided by Andy, is the building of a peer review board and database. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, either as peer reviewer or as the journal’s peer review liaison, again, do not hesitate to contact us. Alternatively, you might have an idea for an essay, creative piece or a review that you would like to submit to the journal. In that case, please see the back of this issue for our most recent call for papers. Being involved with Under Construction @ Keele, whether as an author, peer reviewer or a member of the team, means gaining excellent and varied experience with the academic publication process, and it makes a great addition to your CV. We hope you enjoy the present issue of the journal and the fascinating and diverse pieces of research it showcases – and we already look forward to hearing from you as future members of the team or with ideas for submissions.
