novices, their advice and support has been crucial throughout this entire process.
I must also offer special thanks to our self-styled Director of Communications,
James Williamson. James has had the unfortunate luck of being roped into schemes
of mine in the past; however he has always been the first to sign up, has always
been prepared to act as a sounding board for ideas, and was instrumental in
developing Under Construction’s social media presence.
If the proof of the pudding is in the eating, then the proof of this journal will be
in reading. Therefore, I welcome you to the premier edition of Keele’s first
interdisciplinary postgraduate academic journal, with the promise of many more to
follow.
