Abiodun Fakemi studied English Literature at the undergraduate level at Lagos State University and proceeded to study the same subject at the MA level at the University of Lagos . He wrote his thesis on ‘ Postmodernism : Intertextuality in Comparative Literature of William Shakespeare ’ s Merchant of Venice and Femi Osofisan ’ s Love ’ s Unlike Lading ’. In 2021 , he completed an MRes at Buckingham University . His research focus was ‘ A comparative ecocritical study of Ian McEwan ’ s Solar and Helon Habila ’ s Oil on Water ’. He is researching ubuntu-ecocriticism for his doctoral study at Keele University as a subset of postcolonial ecocriticism .
Joanne Moore is a part time PhD student in the Philosophy Department at Keele University . Her first degree was in Education with a Humanities Specialism , and her master ' s degree was in Humanities with a specialism in Classical Studies . This inspired her interest in Platonic Philosophy and some of the comparisons with Indian Schools of Thought . She has practiced Sahaja Yoga meditation for a number of years which enhanced her interest in comparative spiritual philosophies and provided impetus for exploring the role of mystical experience in philosophical theory .
Megan Beech is a second year Philosophy PhD Student . She researches shame , with an interest in body shame and how this affects women . She is currently interested in the work of Feminist Philosophers and their writing on this topic as well as the discourses of feminist philosophy and phenomenology .
Louisa Street worked as a youth worker for over 10 years , supporting young people around issues including mental health , sexual health and relationships , and drugs and alcohol . In 2019 she joined the Headstart Digital Resilience project in Cornwall , exploring issues around young people ’ s online lives . This project led to Louisa co-authoring the monograph ‘ Online Resilience and Wellbeing in Young People ’ with Professor Andy Phippen . In 2022 , Louisa returned to education , undertaking the LLM in Law and Society at Keele , and embarking on her PhD studies in 2023 .
Chiadikaobi Ihuoma is a PhD candidate in Media Communication Culture at the School of Humanities , Keele University .
