Editor ’ s Note
Welcome to the twelfth issue of Under Construction . The issue has been published following a brief hiatus . Our work has been cut out , as the new Co- Editor-in-Chiefs , to begin the journal again . As Co-Editor in Chiefs , we are proud to finally be publishing the newest volume .
We thank again everyone who has been involved in the journal ’ s development . We could not have done it without the advice of previous committee members , the support of staff within the Humanities and Social Sciences , as well as the tireless work of the Committee , Editorial Team , Peer Reviewers and Contributors . The challenges of Postgraduate Study are extensive , and now , the backdrop for the HE Sector continues to present significant challenges . We ’ re very grateful for the enthusiasm and dedication of the volunteers who made this volume possible .
We have a fantastic range of articles to share with you , all original work produced by our Postgraduate Community at Keele University . I know that the Editorial Team have enjoyed the opportunity to read such a range of fascinating articles , and we ’ re sure it will make for captivating reading .
Each Editor-In-Chief approaches the journal differently . When we took up the mantle , we wanted the journal to be a space to showcase the incredible work of the postgraduate community at Keele , as there were few opportunities for postgraduate researchers to publish their work internally . We wanted to celebrate the diversity and research strengths of our community . This volume focuses on a wide range of subjects , from the Chameleonic elements of Shakespeare and Osofisan ’ s plays to the role of unitive mystical experience in philosophical enquiry . Sally Markovitz ’ s gender based defence of abortion is analysed and the difficulty of navigating terminology in relation to youth sexual image sharing is then explored . Finally , the issue closes on the role of social media and feminist activism in 21 st Century Nigeria . We hope these fascinating articles capture the scope , strength and diversity of research at Keele . The issue would not be what it is without the contributed articles , and we thank the contributors for their ingenuity , creativity and dedication .
