FROM THE PREZ.... BIG DOIN'S.....
Hi folks, On a more personal note, I
have chosen not to run for
another term as the board
president. My wife Annette
and I are gearing up for the
summer farm season and have
taken on a new business
venture as well. This does not
leave time for me to participate
in the workings of the UMCC at
the level that I believe is
required for the momentum we
have to grow and expand. I
believe it can and will grow and
expand with fresh leadership
and ideas from a new president
and the ongoing commitment
of your competent working
board.
It seems almost
inconceivable that nearly a
year and a half has passed
since I was chosen to serve as
the board president at the
UMCC. So many events, so
many new people and so many
projects! As we approach the
annual meeting, I would like to
thank all of you who have
participated over the last 18
months for your help and
support as the Center found a
renewed sense of purpose and
vitality.
There are many events
planned for the coming
summer. Classes, potlucks,
presentations,and the ice
cream social are all in the book
for the coming season. The
Center will also welcome back
the Sunday Produce Market as
the weather turns back into
summer. Stay tuned for an
exact start date.
GET INVOLVED.....
I encourage all of you to find a way
to get involved and make it a
thriving resource for our
community.
It has been my pleasure to serve
this community and I look forward
to seeing all of you in the future at
the Center.
