Definition of the Profession

• The Diagnostic Ultrasound Profession is a multi-specialty field comprised of Diagnostic Medical Sonography with subspecialties in abdominal , neurologic , and obstetrical and gynecologic , Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography , with subspecialties in adult and pediatric echocardiography , Vascular Technology , and other emerging fields .
