Follow-up, Friend or Foe?
Follow-up can be your friend or foe. It is a good chunk of the life
of your business. This is a central skill and a critical tool that takes
time and commitment. Sometimes for many business owners it
goes by the wayside too many times. After awhile you may begin
to say, “I need more money clients and would like my business to
grow and be thriving. “
The truth is what if you had all of this right at your fingertips? What
would it do for your productivity and profits? Think of incorporating and using this as one of your daily
methods of operation. Create a system by organizing all of your contacts, business cards, business relation-
ships and begin to utilize this skill as a daily tool.
Here's three strategies to help you get started. #1. Organize and take an assessment of all your contacts,
business cards and make a list of your power partners you work with. #2. Plan and schedule time to call and
set one-on-one appointments to get to know or up-to-date with those you connect with. #3. Find a CRM
(customer relations management) system that you understand and works for you.
Of course there is more to follow- up
then this brief overview. Running a
business doesn't have to be complicated.
The most important part of follow-up is
that you incorporate it into your daily
activities at least three times per week.
Many business owners overlook this income
producing activity due to time and lack of
system. Once you get the hang of it, make it
a habit and watch your profits and business
relationships grow. Keep in mind that not all
business owners take this serious so, if you
want to succeed, master this skill and you’re
good to go! It may be necessary for you to
hire out the parts of your business that are
not in your area of expertise. It’s Ok to employ
others. Take some time an interview them to
see if they are the right fit for you and your
business model. Monitor and track your efforts
for best results. You got this!!
