Shumbalala rests on one of the country’s great tracts of game land. Set in a dry, singeing savanna quartered by
easterly-flowing rivers, the land is an ancient tapestry of natural wonder. The reserve is blessed with an abundance
of species, including 147 mammals (including the Big 5) and 507 bird species. Qualified rangers conduct relaxed but
informative morning and evening game drives and bush walks. Leisurely game viewing can also be enjoyed from the
game viewing decks that overlook a water hole frequented by game. Accommodation is available in superior and
presidential suites. The lodge offers a splendid high tea and a five-course gourmet dinner.
