If you havn’t got a 4WD and want to
see more of the beautiful Shark Bay area
including Francois Peron National Park
and Dirk Hartog Island Ocean Park can
help you!
Francois Peron National Park sits on
the tip of the Peron Peninsula in Shark
Bay where the Park is home to many rare
and endangered species, including euros,
thorny devils, Gould’s monitor, emus,
fairy-wrens and thick billed grass wrens.
Your tour guide will take you to places that
only the locals know about. Which includes
beautiful red cliffs dropping into a serene
blue sea; perfect lookout for sharks, rays
and turtles in their natural habitat.
Another destination on anyone’s bucket
list is Steep Point, Australia’s most westerly
point on the mainland. In the proposed
60 Ultimate Adventure Pass
national park Edel Land your tour takes you
along the awe-inspiring Zuytdorp cliffs, the
ever changing colours of South Passage
and a landscape that is in stark contrast to
the rest of Shark Bay. Barren, windswept
sand dunes, one hundred meter high
towering limestone cliffs and huge swell
crashing into the coves. It leaves you
wondering how seafarers navigated this
treacherous coastline. There is however,
safe places to snorkel and time to wander
pristine white sandy beaches, too.
The year 2016 marks the 400 year
anniversary of Dirk Hartog’s landing
on Australian soil. Ocean Park offers
personalized real adventure 4WD tours to
Dirk Hartog Island national park. Choose
from one, two or three day packages
and a trip you will not forget. Your tour
guide will not only immerse you in the
ecological significance of this island but
also the rich and fascinating history. Dirk
Hartog Island is also a great place to spot
marine life. Besides the abundance of fish,
dolphins and turtles are regularly seen. In
season humpback whales migrate along
the western shores, whilst manta rays are
frequent along the northern shore. Of
the cliffs you might even spot the elusive
whale shark.
Shark Bay is rich in diverse marine
life. So what better way to explore than
diving? Ocean Park offers dive tours to
some of the most remote and pristine
reefs in WA. Destinations include Steep
Point and Dirk Hartog island. Known only
