beautiful coral gardens that Ningaloo Reef
has to offer.
This is a skippered sailing holiday that
is fully catered with a menu of freshly
prepared healthy meals to ensure that
even the most energetic snorkeler has a
full and very happy stomach at the end
of each meal. Enjoying the evening meal
as the sun dips into the Indian Ocean and
the Milky Way emerges overhead, body
pleasantly tired from a day of adventure
and fresh air, all makes for a great sailing
holiday!
We snorkel and dive amazing sites
such as ‘The Lost City’, ‘The Mooch Patch’
and ‘The Green Mile’. The diversity of
the habitats, from super shallow coral
gardens and fish nurseries to deeper sites
highlighted by towering pinnacles of
ancient coral structures, is what grabs you.
It is matched, if not out weighed, by the
diversity of marine life. Over 200 different
44 Ultimate Adventure Pass
coral species, and over 500 different
species of fish, not to mention the sea
turtles, manta rays, dugongs, reef sharks
and migratory whales and whale sharks.
With water temperatures averaging
around 24c, even in the winter, you are
barely out of the water before being
distracted by more and more marine life.
Snorkel up to 4 times per day and see the
big five …. Humpback whales, Dugongs,
Turtles, Reef Sharks and Manta Rays on a
daily basis…. this is just as much a marine
safari as it is a luxury sailing holiday.
Sitting on the bow watching the sun dip
into the Indian Ocean after spending a day
exploring the Ningaloo Reef Marine Park:
snorkelling, kayaking, fishing or wandering
one of the remote beaches is what dream
holidays are made of. With the advantage
of time Sail Ningaloo explores further
than other operators in the Ningaloo Reef
Marine Park. This means you can access
some of the rarely visited places and have
the pleasure of snorkelling shipwrecks and
coral gardens with no one else in sight.
Your days slip into a routine of sailing,
snorkelling, exploring and eating as the
world falls away, replaced by sunshine,
blue seas and experiences that will create
memories to last a lifetime.
Sail Ningaloo’s vessel Shore Thing is a
beautifully appointed sailing catamaran
with ensuite cabins. If you are after a
private escape the vessel is available
for charter, or you can join one of their
scheduled tours of 3, 5 or 9 nights’ duration.
Shore Thing also comes equipped with
kayaks for those that fancy a paddle, or you
can explore the coastal scenery by foot –
visiting the historic Norwegian Bay Whaling
Station or scaling the windswept dunes for
a view right along the Coral Coast and out
over Ningaloo Reef.
Grab a group of friends, round up the
family or slip away for a honeymoon. Your
sailing adventure awaits!
