Eurobodalla is known as the
‘Land of Many Waters’ with 120
kilometres of coastline, 83
beaches, 4 major river systems and
some 20 lakes and islands. With all this
water you’ll need ways to explore it and
there are plenty of options; kayaking,
swimming, surfing, diving and more…
Eurobodalla is blessed with some of
the best and most scenic waterways in
Australia and kayaking is a great way to
experience these stunning rivers, estuaries
and bays. Guided tours will take you to
secret locations that include caves, oyster
farms and precious wetlands.
The region has lots of great surfing
beaches including McKenzie and South
Broulee which is six klms of natural beauty
and home to ‘Pink Rock’; a real gem for
serious surfers. Other great surf spots are
the ‘Break-wall’ Moruya South Head and
Yabbarra and Bar Beaches near Narooma.
If you enjoy fishing then you’re in luck.
Eurobodalla is a fishing paradise where
it’s never too far to a jetty to try your luck
for bream and leatherjacket. Just off the
beaches you’ll get the big sand flathead
and close to the reefs you may chance
upon the bigger snapper. The Clyde River
is well known for large flathead and a
favourite of many fishing personalities. One
great way to explore this waterway is on
kayak or by hiring a tinnie to get out to the
best fishing hot spots.
