Jersey Festival of
Darts
Stephen Bunting completed an incredible
double ranking event win at the Jersey Festival
of darts as he secured victories in both the
Darts Corner Jersey Open and the Target Darts
Jersey Classic, what was even more incredible
was that he was joined by Target stablemate
Fallon Sherrock, who completed the same feat
in the ladies events.
Bunting overcame close friend Tony Martin in the
quarter finals of the Jersey Open, before averaging
106 in a 4-1 semi-final victory over Jeffrey de Graaf
and completing the tournament win with a 4-1
victory over Gary Robson.
He then went on to secure his double victory with
wins over Martin Atkins, in the quarter finals, and
Glen Durrant, in the semi-finals, to set up a thrilling
final against Dorset’s Eddie White, a match which
he won 4-3, having been 3-1 down during the early
stages.
Sherrocks double victory was completed with final
wins over Trina Gulliver, in the Jersey Open, and
Tricia Wright, in the Jersey Classic, and the 19
year old looks to be in good form as she heads into
Lakeside for the first time in January.
In the festival’s other events there were wins for
Paul Brown, who claimed the Channel Islands
Championship Singles, Glen Durrant and Jim
Williams, who claimed the Darts Corner Doubles and
James Wilson and Rachel Brooks who claimed the
Darts Corner Mixed Pairs.
