Editors Intro...
What a month it has been for the sport of darts and in particular
for one man; Phil Taylor has produced one of the best spells
of form of his career and has extended his current run to five
televised tournament victories in a row with the addition of
the Coral Masters and Grand Slam of Darts to his impressive CV.
There was also success for an up and coming Kim Huybrechts who
claimed a Pro Tour victory to go with his Dutch Darts Masters title as he
continued his rise up the PDC Order of Merit.
In the BDO Stephen Bunting has kept up his remarkable run by taking
two ranking titles in one day at the Jersey Festival of Darts and ‘The
Bullet’ also found time to hop over to Hong Kong and secure victory in
Stage 8 of Dartslive ‘The World’.
Of course we have full reports on all of this action inside the mag, but
not only this we also have a whole host of features. Jamie Shaw looks
at the greatest rivalries in modern darts, I take a look at Ted Hankey’s
return to televised darts action and there are a host of reviews and
competitions too.
For the first time we introduce our new book club, this new monthly
feature will see us reviewing a wide range of darts related books on
all sorts of topics, from darts history to tips and techniques and we
start out this month with a great book by Andrew O’Brien called Darts:
Player by Player.
